The quote is written exactly three times in the piece, twice in the balloon and string and once below for clarity.

This piece was created for a group exhibition on the Mar Nicholas Steps in Achrafieh, Beirut, on the days following the morbid anniversary of the August 4th explosion, organized by several cultural organizations including Khawla Foundation and Rebirth Beirut.

At the time of printing, justice still has yet to be seen after the horrific port explosion. We danced and sang comfortably for years ignorant of the gargantuan bomb sitting just meters away. Someone knew it was there. I was sure I heard jets. Everyone I talked to who was nearby said the same. We’re all probably just fucking crazy, though.

A child’s balloon, the color of the bizarre cloud that loomed ominously over our heads, drifts off into the wind.

صنعت هذه القطعة لأجل المشاركة في معرض جماعي على درج " مار نقولا" في الأشرفية - بيروت, وذلك في الأيام التي أعقبت الذكرى المفجعة لانفجار الرابع من آب (أغسطس)
.Rebirth Beirut كان المعرض برعاية العديد من المنظمات الثقافية بما في ذلك مؤسسة خولة و 

في الوقت الذي طبعت فيه هذه القطعة ،لم تكن العدالة قد أخذت مجراها بعد فيما يتعلق بانفجار الميناء المروّع

.كنّا نرقص ونغني بكل استرخاء لسنوات ونحن لانعلم بوجود قنبلة عملاقة تقع على بعد أمتار قليلة
لابد من وجود شخص ما يعلم بوجود القنبلة.. أنا متأكد أني سمعت صوت طائرة. هذه العبارات التي اتفق عليها كل من تحدثت إليهم في الجوار
.على الرغم من ذلك ، ربما نكون جميعًا مجانين!
