Arabic Calligraphy – Surah Yasin, This piece is formed entirely using only Arabic calligraphy in the ornamental Diwani Jali script. The text in this piece is the entire 36th book of the Qur’an. It is part of my ongoing project ‘The Quran for Solidarity’.

تشكلت هذه القطعة باستخدام الخط العربي بالتزيين الديواني الجلي. النص عبارة عن السورة رقم 36 من القراّن الكريم . وهي عبارة عن جزء من مشروعي الحالي  – القراّن للتضامن

Surah Ya-Sin is my latest piece and also the largest, both in size and length of the text, it contains.

سورة يسّ هي اّخر واكبر عمل لي سواءً بالحجم او طول النص التي تحتويه

This Surah, entitled ‘Ya-Sin’ is composed of 83 different verses.  A translation of the whole surah can be seen below, courtesy of Sahih International. The Hindi numerals appear at the end of every verse. All 83 verses are included, and none are repeated.

اسم هذه السورة هو “يسّ” ومؤلفة من 83 اّية. الترجمة لكامل السورة موجودة أدناه, ماخوذة من الصحيح انترناشيونال. الارقام الهندية تظهر في نهاية كل ايةّ. كل الاّيات ال83 مدخلة ولايوجد إعادة لاحدها
