I was recently commissioned to create a series of logos for the Middle Eastern Department at the University of Southern California.
Below are two simple circular designs, the first in Arabic, the second in Farsi, each reading “The University of California – Department of Middle Eastern Studies.”

I also produced several variants using the university’s colors of maroon and gold, for use on the USC website.

Nice work …as a logo, perhaps it would be better to keep the word “California” at the bottom-center part of the circle
